DONATING to this Reunion 2016 and others:

The date is May 7, 2016 and time is 2 PM - 10 PM

The site for our 47th "MediCare" REUNION will be the historic Snow Hill Manor in Laurel, MD

Click Here for the complete History since 1755.

The Manor house and patio costs $750 to rent for a Saturday.

This LINK shows the Complete Rental Information.

This LINK shows the COSTS of Catering with Ledos Pizza in Laurel.

There are other costs such as ice, coolers, plastic cups, paper towels and adminsitrative expenses.

As a comparison, the budget for the 45th Reunion at Greenbelt Hilton was approximately $ 14,000.
The budget for this reunion at Snow Hill Manor is approximately $ 2,000.

This Reunion is basically FREE.

We know there are classmates who live near Laurel / Greenbelt, and the idea is to include as many classmates as possible.
Maybe the cost to attend the previous reunion discouraged some attendance.

Maybe there is some happy medium, like $25 to attend. We will not know unless we try other approaches.

AFTER the 45th Reunion in Greenbelt, the bank account for "69 Wildcats" was CLOSED. These days it costs approximately $10 or $20 per month just to have a bank account. The 45th Reunion basically "Broke Even," so there was no need to continue the old bank account.

A new bank account will be established once again for "69 Wildcats" just prior to the Reunion on May 7, 2016.

Those who desire to DONATE , can either bring cash to the reunion or make checks payable to: "69 Wildcats".
Some have indicated they would like to PLEDGE SUPPORT in advance and that is very much appreciated.
That can be done via email to: wildcat1969@verizon.net

ANYONE who donates more than $100 will automatically be considered ON the ORGANIZING COMMITTEE, unless you decline.

We need Your EMAIL ADDRESS to communicate. The Committee does not have meetings. We use email.

FUNDING has been a lively topic of discussion thus far. The general feeling is that, "We Lucked Out," on the 45th Reunion.
It could have been a disaster. We instituted the EARLY Pay Discount, so that we could ensure some degree of success. It worked. By having a considerable number of classmates COMMIT to attending and making payments 6 months in advance, we knew that the event would not suffer a serious financial loss. Many more classmates paid the full rate up to the deadline just prior to the reunion, which allowed us to order the appropriate amount of food for the buffet. Other classmates came to the door without prior notice and it happened to work out very well, since we did have some no-shows out of the prepaid tickets.

It might be worth recalling that reunions prior to the 45th struggled with attendance and with finances.

Our Class is UNIQUE !

We have a very diverse class with some extremely successful members. Many of our classmates have other very important obligations. Scheduling poses quite a challenge. Process of elimination has been our primary system thus far. Winter presents bad weather, we dare not conflict with Spring Break and yet Summer and Fall seem to have potential for even more distractions.

We considered many different approaches as a committee. We tried an informal reunion at the beach in Fenwick Island. It did not work.

We tried to link up with the Class before us, the "68 Wildcats" to join them for one of their reunions. It did not work.

We have had quite a few suggestions made for other places and other activities, however, none have been able to materialize as yet.

It appears that our class DEMANDS reunions that specifically address our very unique requirements.

THIS YEAR is all about Medicare because we all become eligible. There are other concerns that we share with regard to our age.

One approach frequently mentioned in our planning is to ASSEMBLE as a group in order to provide mutual benefit through interaction. This concept goes beyond simply the entertainment at reunions, although the details of how it might work have yet to be discovered. We have scheduled "Destination Mini-Reunions," and we do have a Travel Agent within our class who has suggested Group Trips.

FUNDING must obviously recognize BOTH Income and Expenses.

The 45th Reunion is over and there was no surplus. That is now history. From here on we need more ideas and more money.

Your Ideas are Welcome and so is Your Money.
