Key West Parties

This was a Mini-Reunion in the FLORIDA KEYS - November, 2014.

At the BIG REUNION in Greenbelt on May 3, 2014, we learned about classmates who live in the Florida Keys.

Just in case you don't recognize the faces, that is from L - R: Bob Weber, Charlie Cabrera, Bill Sanderson and Bonnie Schuler Sanderson.

The party was held at the Keys Fisheries Restaurant on Nov. 2, 2014.

And we ate dinner up in the roof-top Bar with a spectacular view:

Bill has worked in the Keys for almost 40 years involved with Entomology (Mosquito Control),

and Bonnie is now a Real Estate Agent after a long career as an accountant for a law firm.

There have actually been several Mini- Reunions there in the Florida Keys over the past six or seven years. It has been a small group thus far, and yet it can easily be expanded. KEY WEST is a great place to party.

There were numerous other choices for places to party for 2014.

Kelly's Key West

Hogs Breath Saloon

Green Parrot

The Schooner Wharf Bar which has been described as, The Center of the Universe.

The party could have been there in Key West, but we chose . . . . . .
Just 52 miles up Rt. 1 is the Keys Fisheries Restaurant

There are many similar places in the Keys such as:

30 miles up Rt. 1 from Key West is Big Pine Key, which has the -

We try to have a mini-reunion in the Keys EVERY YEAR during the month of November. We can go to another location, or we can have a small gathering at a someone's house or a local restaurant. We alwys plan to meet somewhere in the Keys during the first week of November. Date and time TO BE DETERMINED.

On previous mini-reunions, we have stayed at the Old Wooden Bridge Fishing Camp.

We know the fishing camp will probably not be very popular with the ladies. It is great for guys who like fishing, boating, scuba diving and drinking beer. Sorry, but that is about the extent of our previous mini-reunions. We also ride bicycles, do some kayaking and go to great seafood restaurants.

If you want a more exclusive place to stay, you can try Little Palm Island Private Resort.

We have also stayed at the Continental Inn, Marathon, which is very reasonable. (Ask for unit 31)

It all depends upon the numbers, - and your feedback will determine the interest.

WE KNOW there are other Wildcats who live in Florida. Every November is the chance to get together for a Mini-Reunion.

Here are some of the challenges in scheduling anything in Florida: Long distance from Maryland, or wherever, . .
Yes, we know this is the end of the annual hurricane season, but it does not cost as much as during peak tourist season.

Let's try for the FIRST Week of NOVEMBER each year.

Once you get to the Keys, most places are near US 1 (The Overseas Highway). If you get to Key West, that is the end of the road.

Please notice that MORE Mini-Reunions have been proposed for Florida every November (as long as we can keep making it there).

The whole point of this web site is to determine what kind of interest there might be for such events.

This is where it all comes down to YOU. - Nothing, . . and we mean nothing, can happen unless we get some feedback.
If the Florida Keys do not have any appeal for you, then fine. . . Ignore this page and look for another event you might attend.
